ASN and GRN

THG Fulfil Inbound ASN and GRN Diagram - Sketch

Creating an ASN (Advanced Shipment Notification)

The ASN informs the facility of the exact inventory being inbounded and works with the Pre-Advice to ensure a smooth inbounding process. When you are ready to ship inventory, create an ASN including:

  • The inventory item reference (from inventory creation).
  • The delivery booking reference (from the approved Pre-Advice).

Arrival at the Facility

The delivery booking reference is used for vehicle site access and must also be clearly labelled on pallets or cartons to link the delivery to the ASN. Upon receipt, stock is checked, counted, and stowed, with any discrepancies recorded.

GRN (Goods Received Note)

After inbounding is complete, the facility issues a Goods Received Note (GRN) detailing:

  • The received inventory.
  • Any non-compliance issues identified during the process.

The GRN is shared with you through THG Fulfil for review and resolution.
